Franchis lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, between farm and woodland, just a couple of minutes’ drive from Mullion and 5 miles from Helston. It is well placed for visiting all of West Cornwall, with Penzance and Falmouth about 13 miles away and St Ives just 18 miles away.
The park is close to the rugged coast and numerous sandy coves, yet a few miles east you’ll find the beautiful valleys and estuaries of the Helford. If you like walking, then you’ll love the coast path and, as they also accept dogs, the whole family will be able to enjoy the scenery.
With a David Bellamy Conservation Award, they do all they can to promote wildlife, therefore there is no outside lighting. You’ll love the starry nights, watching the bats and owls flit about at dusk and you may even hear the snuffle of the odd badger going foraging, but we do recommend that you bring a torch.

Facilities include under-floor heated shower and toilet blocks with family shower rooms, disabled suites, baby bathrooms and a freezer room, showers have free hair dryers, shaver points and electric sockets. Chemical disposal points can be found outside each Amenity Building. The laundry room provides washing and drying machines, sinks and free irons.

Surrounded by farmland, porthtowan tourist park offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy the surrounding countryside or walk the nearby South West Coast path and Mineral Trail. Only a mile from the Blue Flag Porthtowan beach, one of the most spectacular on the North Cornwall coast. Well known for its surf and surf school, it is a family friendly with a large expanse of sand and plenty of rock pools and caves for kids big and small to explore. Beaches, gardens and attractions are all within easy reach of porthtowan tourist park and there is plenty to do in the area. The cathedral city of Truro is also only eight miles away. Family run and owned, Wooda Farm Holiday Park is set in 40 acres of parkland with stunning views of Bude Bay and the surrounding countryside. Closeby is the unspoilt town of Bude and the picturesque village of Poughill with its beautiful church and village pub.
Onsite there are excellent facilities for touring and camping, including multi-serviced hardstanding pitches and five star toilet and shower facilities. All pitches are closely mown and very generous in size, enjoying beautiful views.
